Steve has been in branding for 25+ years, on both the agency and client sides of the table, and has worked with dozens of top US and global brands. He spent eight years at ING, first introducing the Dutch brand to the North American market and later developing an award-winning sponsorship program with a focus on endurance sports events such as the ING New York City Marathon.

He helped drive the launch strategy for Porsche’s North American introduction of the Cayenne, ran branding and advertising for startups in music and real estate, and then launched his own startup. Yavay is an online sponsorship marketplace, with investors in the US, Canada and Europe. After a pilot launch in the US, the company is now focused on the European market. 

Steve spent the first decade or so of his career account management and media for several ad agencies, beginning with Ogilvy & Mather. He served multi-year terms on the board of directors for Running USA and on the editorial advisory board of Event Marketer Magazine.
